As an artist and sculptor, Valérie Barrault draws inspiration for her work from nature and her surroundings. Strikingly realistic men and women with a wide range of expressions come to life under her fingers in her studio in Mareau-aux-Prés. "I like to approach major themes in a poetic way, to change the way we look at what surrounds us. That's why I invite you to look at the other side of my statues, the hidden side, the back!
