Descriptive
The Essonne, a tributary of the Seine, has its source in the Grand Pithiverais and is born at the junction of the Oeuf and the Rimarde at Neuville-sur-Essonne. The Essonne is a small but regular river, fed mainly by an underground water table, the Beauce water table. The Essonne valley is ideal for hiking, the GR32 follows the valley.
