A mouth-watering quality label
The title of 'Maître Restaurateur' (Master Chef) is France's only State-certified quality label - the sign of a high standard of workmanship and rigorous preparation of fresh and unprocessed products.
In Loiret, some 41 passionate chefs have already been awarded the label. The vocation of the title of 'maître restaurateur', initiated in 2007 by the French State, is to reward the professionalism demonstrated by a chef and his/her restaurant in the valorisation of entirely home-prepared cuisine, concocted on-site, using unprocessed products, essentially fresh and including local country fare, always in time with the seasons and supplied by local producers.
